Covid19 Safety Guidelines

Hermes Hotel Health and Service Practices

As always, our number one priority is the health and safety of you, our valued guest, and our employees.  Having traveled away from your home, we appreciate that you understand that we cannot guarantee your health.  However, we are taking a number of actions to enhance the already high standards of health and cleanliness in our resort, so that you will feel comfortable and well taken care of during your stay with us.

General Property Information

The hotel continues to monitor the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is following all health and safety guidelines provided by the local department of health.

The hotel’s already rigorous cleaning regimens and protocols have been increased.  Enhanced cleaning and sanitization practices have been put in place throughout the property and the overall cleaning frequency has been increased.

Procedures for social distancing have been put in place throughout the hotel.

Employees

  • The health of our employees is being carefully monitored.

  • All employees will be temperature screened when they arrive to work. 

  • Employees will wear masks and gloves, as required by local department of health guidelines. 

  • All hotel staff have been trained to adhere to the new health protocols.

  • In addition to housekeeping and hygiene protocols, hotel associates and staff are also completing enhanced Covid-19 awareness training.
     

At the Reception

  • The reception area will be disinfected frequently and social distancing adhered to, whilst our receptionists will be wearing masks.  Hand sanitizer will also be readily available.

  • Check in will be facilitated online after a warm welcome by our team and check out will take place at our lovely outdoor area, with minimal effort and contact. It is likely that any accounts, invoices or receipts will be sent to you via email.

  • The check-in time has been adjusted to 15.00 and check-out time to 11.00 in order to ensure that each room is thoroughly disinfected between stays, and that the space is adequately ventilated.
     

Our reception team will be just a call away if you need any assistance throughout your stay!
 

 

Wellness Stations

We have provided wellness stations with hand sanitizer, available throughout the hotel.  Masks are available for guests upon request.


Housekeeping

  • Housekeeping will follow enhanced practices for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces.

  • Housekeeping service will be offered in accordance with the local department of health guidelines and can be personalized by selecting and receiving the housekeeping options you prefer, from regular daily cleaning service to opting out of service based on your preferences throughout your stay. 

  • Our textiles and towels are washed over 70 °C and treated according to safety protocols.

  • The number of employees entering the guest room to service it will be limited throughout the guest’s stay. 
     

Food & Beverage services 

All dining and kitchen areas are following the local department of health guidelines for food safety and kitchen sanitization. We follow the HACCP principles, in every step of any procedure.

  • Tables will be appropriately spaced within our restaurant in line with local department of health guidelines.

  • All seats, tables and menus and other items used by our guests will be disinfected after every use.

  • We will be serving lunch meals, by the pool and at our lovely indoor area,  from  12.00 till 16.00. 

  • From 16.00 till midnight  you can enjoy  ice creams, waffles, drinks and wonderful cocktails  by the pool bar. 

  • “FISTIKIES”, our family’s restaurant, offers high quality Mediterranean Cuisine combined with the Greek gastronomic tradition.  The beautiful interiors, shady pergolas and verandas will offer a pleasant comfortable environment for dinner.  Cuisine is open from 5pm till 12 midnight.  Find more at: http://fistikies.com/
     

Swimming Pools

  • All chairs & sunbeds will be placed observing social distancing standards.

  • We provide fresh towels for free, washed under the appropriate temperatures, in order to be used from each guest covering all the surface of the sun lounger.

  • After the usage, the sun lounger is disinfected.

  • Shower before entering the pool is strongly recommended. We provide all necessary amenities (soap, shower gel) as well as antiseptic gel by the shower entrance.

  • Our pools are chlorinated systematically.

 

Medical Support

  • Medical Kit and laser thermometer available for our staff and guests.

  • We are also partnering with the local authorities and according to the official notification of the government, we have started an official cooperation with a Doctor (well trained and certificated also for COVID-19 cases), who is responsible for any possible case of our in house guests 24/7.

  • Please inquire at reception for further information on all Covid-19 related policies and procedures.  


Fitness Center
The gym will not operate this year,  in order to respect the social distancing rules.

Record of staff members and guests

  • For the purpose of public health protection, we keep a record of staff members and all guests staying at the Hotel including their name, nationality, date of arrival and departure, contact details (address, telephone, e-mail), to enable contact tracing of any close contacts of COVID-19 cases, which may be subsequently identified. 

  • The hotel, also, records and updates an event log book COVID-19 (reception desk).

  • All guests and staff are informed that these records are kept for the protection of public health, with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR) and national law 4624/2019.

Please note that: 

  • It is your responsibility to report to our staff any symptoms you might have, even if they are minor. 

  • It is your responsibility to report us if you think that you have been in contact with a possibly infected person.


The above measures are valid until further notice and may be updated following the instructions issued by the Greek government.
